Shadow. Duh!
Come on. Florida is the Sunshine State. There isn't even a chance that Florida's version of Punxsutawney Phil wouldn't see his shadow here. And even if he did, it wouldn't apply. It's always summer here.
So I guess I have the Groundhog Day blues. Florida's perpetual state of summer can be a drag. But I love jogging and golfing in January and February. In Maine, I had played golf during the winter, but it was on the frozen lake using orange balls and while wearing 100 layers of clothing.
The rodent indeed did see his shadow today. Six more weeks of winter? Bring it on.
