Remember when the Bangor Daily News used to have a catering company bring stuff in? That made my 45 minute phone conversation where someone read me numbers and I wrote them down.
I am Andrew Knapp, a former journalist in Charleston, S.C. This blog is unaffiliated with my job. It has been recognized online by The New York Times, the popular search engine Bing, several blogs, a community newspaper, U.S. News & World Report and News 14 Carolina. I blog about my experiences in South Carolina and beyond, and about my attempts to improve my photography skills. "Offlede" is a term for the second most important story on a newspaper page.

I seem to remember good sandwiches, salads and baked goods. The BDN was much more health-conscious. And I also remember those thrilling phone calls.
